Double- Breasted, Reimagined.

The double-breasted suit-senior bankers' buttoned-up livery, you might say? Incorrect.

The double-breasted cuts today take their shapes from the 1970s and 80s, and are much lighter and freer in the way they are worn," says Timothy Everest, the tailor and designer who has long married the concepts of smart-casual; his new venture, MbE (which stands for Made by Everyone), offers everything from bespoke Harrington jackets to luxury cargo pants."

For their 2019 spring/summer range, Kim Jones at Dior offered pastel-coloured DB tailoring with floral details. Although the blazers of Dunhill came in silk and leather, its

clean-silhouetted minimalism mirrored the celebrated, simple "one-and-a-half-breasted" jackets of Brunello Cucinelli.

"It's all cyclical, and I think men want to look handsome again after years of streetwear," says Everest. "Younger guys are cottoning on but the new suits are an elevated,

luxury version of the streetwear styles they already know in their own way." You'll need to master the art of high-low dressing to nail this look, or learn to balance the amount of smart and casual pieces in your look in non-menswear terms. Swap out the bomber for a

double-breasted sweater, but retain the light wash.
